Henry ‘IKE’ Ikezi for Queens Borough President

It’s Time to Take Our Borough Back!

As a proud lifelong resident of Queens for over three (3) decades, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges and opportunities that make our borough the most diverse and dynamic in America. Queens represents the best of the world — hard work, hope, and cultural pride — and my vision is rooted in these same values: common-sense solutions, economic empowerment, and building a safe, thriving community for all.

My journey began right here in Queens at Aviation High School, where a simple project in my wood shop class sparked the idea that would shape my life — real estate development. That experience taught me the power of practical learning, creativity, and vision. It’s why I believe so strongly that our schools must offer more diverse and hands-on learning opportunities — to help every young person discover their passion early, just as I did.

Over the past two (2) decades, I have revitalized distressed neighborhoods, creating more than 1,000 homes and uplifting countless families. My work has always been about more than buildings — it’s about community transformation, opportunity, and hope.

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Politics, Economics, and Law from SUNY Old Westbury, and later pursued a Master’s Degree in Political Science at St. John’s University, right here in Queens. I have lived, worked, and built in this borough my entire life — because Queens deserves leaders who are truly part of the community they serve.

I take immense pride in my Nigerian heritage, which instilled in me a deep respect for faith, family, and perseverance. Those values continue to guide my mission to bring prosperity and progress to every corner of Queens.

Unlike politicians who campaign in our communities but don’t live in them, my commitment is lifelong and personal. My vision is clear — a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Queens, where every resident has a fair shot at success.

Now, I am running for Queens Borough President to bring real leadership, real solutions, and real change. I’m not a career politician. I am a builder, problem solver, and fighter for the people — ready to expand opportunity, strengthen small businesses, enhance public safety, and empower our youth through education and innovation.

With your support, we can make Queens the home our families deserve — a borough of pride, prosperity, and limitless possibility.
